The Catalyst for Change: Why I Am Returning to Build Opportunities in Akoko South East and South West

Home - Blog Detail

For years, you have known me as Mr. Talk & Do. You have seen the results of my commitment in our streets, our schools, and in the lives of our young people. Today, I am taking the next step in that journey. I am officially announcing my candidacy for the House of Representatives to represent the people of Akoko South East and Akoko South West.

I want to be clear about why I am standing before you today. I didn’t choose public service. Public service chose me, through every degree I earned, every community I served, and every Nigerian youth I saw waiting for an opportunity that hadn’t arrived yet.

Building the Chance We Deserve

My journey began in hardship, but it was defined by action. I know what it feels like to be hungry for a chance. I left Nigeria with that hunger, and I built that chance across two continents. As a technology consultant, financial advisor, agricultural investor, and social worker, everything I’ve built has been in service of one conviction: that Nigeria’s future lives inside her people, not her politicians.

I am not running to be a provider. I am running to be the representative who makes sure people never have to wait on one. Nigeria is not a poor country. It is a country full of people whose potential has been systematically under-resourced, underestimated, and under-activated.

A Commitment, Not a Promise

In Akoko South West and Akoko South East, I have listened. Beneath every request for roads, for jobs, for schools, and for healthcare, I hear one deeper cry: “Give us a real chance.”

You have heard promises before. Because of that, I won’t make you a promise. Instead, I will make a commitment. To every young person waiting on an opportunity, every family surviving instead of thriving, and every dreamer who was told to be realistic; I see you. Because I was you.

The Vision for the Ondo Harvest

We are going to unlock the agricultural and economic gold of this constituency. I am not coming back to hand you anything. I am coming back fully equipped and fully committed to make sure you never have to leave home to find your chance. Whether it is through high profit agribusiness for our youth or creating an environment where local businesses can finally breathe, we will move from talking to doing.

I want to be known as a Catalyst. Seun Ajongbolo, Catalyst for Change.

Our time for waiting is over. Our time for building has begun. Let’s get to work.
